The team behind Adagio Teas, one of the internet’s most trusted names in loose-leaf tea, is branching out into new territory. This month, the company unveiled Lardera Coffee Roasters, a sister brand dedicated to small-batch, specialty-grade coffee.
Best known for its direct-sourcing model and customer-focused approach to tea, Adagio is applying the same principles to coffee: quality, clarity, and a smoother path to discovery. Lardera’s initial lineup includes a selection of single-origin coffees and curated blends, roasted in small batches to highlight each bean’s character. Every coffee is available in full-size bags, but also as $2 sample pouches—designed to take the guesswork out of finding a favorite.
“We wanted to offer an alternative to the overwhelming choices and insider language that often define the coffee world,” said Michael Cramer, founder of Adagio Teas. “Lardera is about making great coffee accessible, without dumbing it down. It’s for people who care about flavor, but don’t need to be baristas to enjoy it.”
While Lardera is launching with a core lineup of beans, the brand plans to expand in the coming months to include a range of thoughtfully selected brewing gear and accessories. The goal is to create a complete at-home coffee experience, rooted in quality, simplicity, and flavor exploration.
